Eric Johnson writes for Journal of Commerce that shippers are increasingly looking to operationalize their supply chain visibility data, pushing providers to branch out, noting that “This extension into execution is potentially reshaping the visibility market, which has largely relied on vendors partnering with execution-focused software vendors in the transportation, warehouse and inventory management spaces.”

And FourKites Founder and CEO Matt Elenjickal agrees: “For many reasons, legacy systems struggle when it comes to real-time data… We waited 10 years thinking legacy players would catch up. They haven’t. Then, GenAI and agents arrived on the scene as incredible force multipliers for getting value out of quality data.”

With 68% of execs planning to funnel up to $250 million into AI in the next year, its application in business is no longer a hypothetical, but a reality.
